There are various scholarships available for degree seeking students at Taipei Tech. These scholarships are available for international students who do not hold citizenship of Taiwan, Hong Kong, Macao, or China.

Award Item Tutition Fee 50% off
Requirement

New students who wish to apply for Taipei Tech Hua Yu Scholarship must submit one of the following certificates before semester begins :

  1. TOCFL B Level or above
  2. Chinese Subject - Level C or above in SPM Test
  3. Chinese Subject - Level C or above in UEC Test

Scholarship can be renewed based on the academic performance in previous year. Please check the Hua Yu Scholarship Regulation for reference.

International Graduate Student Scholarship

Target Postgraduate Students
Award Item

Master :

  1. Tutition Waiver (two years max.)
  2. Monthly Stipend NT 6,000 (first year only)

PhD :

  1. Tutition Waiver (four years max.)
  2. Monthly Stipend NT 12,000 (four years max.)
Renewal Requirement

Second year master’s students may apply for tuition waiver with first year academic performance.

From the 2nd year onward, PhD studens’ academic performance and the number of published journals (doctoral students only) in the previous year will be the criteria for scholarship renewal.

Restriction

The following international graduate students may not apply for the International Graduate Student Scholarship :

  1. Students who are already receiving other forms of financial aid from Taiwan government or Taipei Tech.
  2. Students who are engaged in full-time paid employment in Taiwan.

Target : Students from countries that have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan

MOE

Target : Students from countries that do NOT have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan

Award Items :

  1. Tutition waiver
  2. Monthly Stipend NT 15,000 (Undergraduate)
  3. Monthly Stipend NT 20,000 (Postgraduate)
MOST

Target : Postgraduate students from countries that do NOT have official diplomatic relations with Taiwan

MOE Elite Scholarship Program for Lecturers

Target Lecturers (nationals of Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Brunei, Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Laos, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Bhutan, Australia, and New Zealand) who apply for PhD programs

  2. (1) Monthly Stipend NT 14,000 (1st-3rd year), Monthly Stipend NT 12,000 (4th year)
Renewal Requirement From the 2nd year onward, PhD studens’ academic performance and the number of published journals in the previous year will be the requirement for renewal of the scholarship.
Renewal application Every July

* After admission result announcement, Taipei Tech will inform all accepted PhD students from Southeast and South Asia via email. Qualified students must send the Lecturer Certificate to Taipei Tech by the designated deadline.

 

Taipei City Southbound ICT Scholarship Program

Target Postgraduate students from Malaysia and India in designated programs

  4. Department of Electro-Optical Engineering
  5. International Graduate Program in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS)
  6. Graduate Institute of Automation Technology
  7. Master Program of Mechatronic Engineering
  8. International Master Program in Mechanical and Automation Engineering
  9. International Graduate Program in College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering (CMEE)
  10. Master Program of Innovation and Design
  11. Department of Interaction Design
Award Item

Students who join this program will receive extra monthly stipend NT 3,000 from Taipei City Government.

Taipei City Government will be providing a matching platform for internship before graduation and for job hunting after graduation. Students of this program must work in Taiwan for at least two years within the first three yaers after graduation. Those who fail will be asked to return the stipend provided by Taipei City Government.

* After admission result announcement, Taipei Tech will inform all accepted postgraduate students from Malaysia and India about this program via email. Students who wish to join this program must submit the Declaration Form on Enrollment Day.
